During the following 5 years of expansion, Mindscape were a driving force in the developing CD-ROM market place and produced many successful titles for all leading computer and video game platforms.
In April 1994, the company was bought by the international media group, Pearson plc. This allowed Mindscape to expand it's commitment to new product development and led to the acquisition of Strategic Simulations Inc. (SSI), a highly acclaimed developer of computer war, strategy and fantasy role playing games. Mindscape also bought American direct marketing specialists, Micrologic, developers of the successful print productivity series, Printmaster.
